Harris e-Core™

The Harris e-Core™ is an ergonomically designed, trigger operated, electric micro-coring device. The Harris e-Core™ was developed to meet sampling throughput requirements that were beyond the capabilities of the manually operated Harris Micro-Punch® and Harris Uni-Core™, and less expensive and more versatile than the bench top automated punching systems.

The Harris e-Core™ is a semi-automatic coring device which can be held in either hand or operated from a docking station. The coring system is quiet and does not generate static commonly associated with bench top punching system. This eliminates concern associated with cross contamination and sample ejection delivery issues. The unit offers a full "line of sight" design allowing the user to control targeting of the ejected sample, thereby eliminating errors associated with delivery to collecting wells in micro-titre plates.

The Harris e-Core™ system offers the same range of sampling diameters, 1.00 to 3.00 mm i.d., available with the Harris Micro-Punch® . However, unlike the Harris Micro-Punch® and other bench top punching systems, the Harris e-Core™ will accept all replacement tips on one unit. This cost effective approach increases the range of applications while eliminating the need to purchase separate units for each coring diameter.

The high rpm and extended lumen volume in the cutting sleeves allows for consecutive sampling without the need for prior ejection of sample. The body of the Harris e-Core™ is made from high impact plastic.
