Copyright Transfer

The publication of any submission to The Forensic Archive automatically confirms the author(s) transfer of copyright of said submission to Shunderson Communications, Inc. (SCInc.). The copyright will be granted to SCInc. by the author for the full term thereof throughout the world, subject to the Author Rights (as hereafter defined) and to the acceptance of the submission for publication by SCInc. This method of transfer of copyright takes the place of a signed agreement and thereby allows SCInc. to expedite the posting of the submission to the widest audience. The transfer of copyright includes all material to be published as part of the submission (in any medium), including but not limited to tables, figures, graphs, movies, and other multimedia files. SCInc. shall have the right to register copyright to the submission in its name as claimant, whether separately or as part of the medium in which the submission is included.

Authors Rights:

The author(s) shall have the following rights:

  1. All proprietary rights other than copyright, such as patent rights.
  2. The nonexclusive right, after publication by SCInc., to give permission to third parties to republish print versions of the submission or a translation thereof, or excerpts therefrom, without obtaining permission from SCInc., provided the SCInc. formatted versions is not used for this purpose and provided the submission is not to be published in another journal. If the SCInc. version of the submission is used, permission from SCInc. must be obtained.
  3. The right, after publication by SCInc., to use all or part of the submission without revision or modification, including the SCInc. formatted version, in print compilations or other print publications of the author(s)' and on the author(s)'s web page, and to make copies of all or part of the submission for the author(s)' use for lecture or classroom purposes. All copies of the submission made under any of the Author Rights shall include notice of the SCInc. copyright.

The Author Warrants:

The author(s) represent and warrant that any submission for publication in The Forensic Archive is:

  1. Original and does not infringe any prior copyright or violate any other right of any third parties;
  2. That the submission has not been published elsewhere; and,
  3. That the submission is not being considered for publication elsewhere, in any form, except as provided herein.
